Where from: Denmark
How old were you when you first left the country: Probably like 5 years old. Living in Denmark, you’re never far from the border, so it’s quite common to leave Denmark for holidays.
How many countries travelled: Around 13-14 countries.
Favourite place/country: I’ve always sworn that Austria is my favorite country in terms of nature. Else, I really enjoy Northern Italy and Scotland, where I’m currently residing as part of an exchange semester.
Why? I’m a huge fan of any country that has mountains. The higher, the better.
Next trip? No plans as of now. As mentioned, I’m currently residing in Scotland for a total of 3,5 months, so my travel needs will be covered for a short while upon returning to Denmark.
Bucket list? Not really, but if I had one, I would probably add things like: Learn to surf, do a backflip, learn and master a martial arts form. Things like that. I believe the backflip is truly about commitment – I just need to try it out somewhere safe, where I won’t break my neck if I don’t go all the way around. I think I’ll do it from a diving board into a swimming pool. Worst case is that I land on my stomach and lose my breath. I can live with that risk.
In terms of countries to visit: Canada, the US, South Africa and pretty much every other country in the world.
What stops you from travelling? Definitely a lack of money! However, a lack of time is probably the main reason I don’t travel more than I do.
Best food you’ve eaten in another country? I’ve had a lot of great food, but a plate of gnocchi on a fine Italian pasta restaurant in the middle of Prague will have to take the first place.
No. 1 road-trip song? I really wouldn’t be able to pick a single one. It could potentially go in 200 different directions depending on the day and the co-driver.
