Born in Barton, studied in Hull, went to Thailand for a summer doing World Challenge, moved to Leeds for uni, then lived in Germany for a year, and now she’s – here’s more about Carla Potter.
Where from: Barton-upon-Humber, England.
How old were you when you first left the country: I was really young the first time I went abroad, I can’t remember exactly when but I think I was around 2 or 3.
How many countries travelled: 12 approx.
Favourite place/country: Munich in Germany!
Why? I actually lived there for nine months on my year abroad. It’s such a beautiful city and there is so much to do.
Next trip? I’m actually going back to Munich in December to visit the christmas markets, I can’t wait!
Bucket list? I’ve never made a proper list, but I know there’s so much more of the world I want to see. I would say the top places I want to go are NYC (at Christmas), India, Vietnam and I would love to do a safari in Africa!
What stops you from travelling? The biggest problem is probably that so far I haven’t had the time to go travelling because of uni and summer work. I also definitely don’t have enough money, but I know I could save up for it!
Best food you’ve eaten in another country? The best food I’ve ever eaten was chicken fried rice in Thailand, I just couldn’t get enough of it! It was pretty much all we ate on our trip.. simple but delicious!
No. 1 road-trip song? It’s hard to pick just one song.. I would say maybe say old-school Fall Out Boy, Thnks fr th Mmrs – something I can sing really loud too!
